The Holdsworth Foundation will make its HQ on 44 acres along Lake Austin

The foundation selected the site, on RM 2222 just east of Capital of Texas Highway, because of its scenic beauty and relative isolation, the Austin American-Statesman reports. The land is a prime swath of lakefront property.

24 Diner to take 6,000 square feet in The Domain.

24 Diner’s second location will be in the Rock Rose section of The Domain, beefing up the tenants Endeavor Real Estate Group LLC has signed for its portion of the massive mixed-use development that has become one of North Austin’s primary retail hubs.

Domain set to unveil final phase: Domain Northside

New development for The Domain shopping center

Nearly a decade after The Domain first opened, Austin-based developer Endeavor Real Estate Group is putting the finishing touches on the project’s third and final phase. The new phase, to be called Domain Northside, will be anchored by Austin’s second Nordstrom department store and a multi-story RH store, a new concept from Restoration Hardware.

More than 20 shops and restaurants have committed to the project, including many that are new to Austin, new to Texas or even new to the U.S. entirely, such as Suitsupply, FRYE Boots, Flower Child, Culinary Dropout and Cyclone Anaya’s. The 43-acre, 600,000-square-foot development also includes a 171-room boutique hotel affiliated with the high-end Archer brand. Heavyweight startup supporter to set up shop in downtown Austin office

Austin Texas DowntownCoding school and co-working space operator Galvanize Inc. has confirmed plans to open offices next year in a new tower being built in downtown Austin.

The Denver-based company, which operates as a combination coding school and co-working space, is scheduled to start finishing out its space in October in an office building across the street from the skyscraper that Google Inc. is moving into at the site of the old Green Water Treatment Plant on the north shore of Lady Bird Lake at West Cesar Chavez and San Antonio Streets.

New York REIT Gramercy Property Trust recently purchased the Texas Linen facility located at 1307 Smith Road (120,347 sf) for a reported $9.5 million from Garrison Investment Group, also based in New York.

Report: Austin among fastest-growing in U.S.

New data shows Texas dominating the nation for population growth with three Lone Star State cities showing up in the top 20.  The Rice University Kinder Institute for Urban Research report pegged Austin as the 11th fastest growing nationwide by adding 466,526 people.
