Global Medical Acquires Hospital in Austin

Maryland-based Global Medical REIT Inc. has acquired Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, a 59,000-square-foot healthcare property located at 700 W. 45th St. in Austin, for roughly $40.6 million. The inpatient hospital features 50 beds and is leased to a joint venture between subsidies of healthcare providers Kindred Healthcare and Seton Healthcare.

42,000 SF Medical Office coming to Austin Metro

Perardi Development will build Medical Towers at Bee Cave II, a 42,000-square-foot medical office property located at the corner of RM 620 and State Highway 71 in the Austin metro of Bee Cave. Scheduled to break ground later this month, the project follows the completion and pre-leasing of the 23,000-square-foot Medical Towers at Bee Cave. This second phase of the project could be completed as early as mid-December 2018.

Medical Towers at Sawyer Ranch to have grand opening

Medical Towers at Sawyer Ranch will have its official grand opening Nov. 5. The three-story building on 4.2 acres, located at 13830 Sawyer Ranch Road, Dripping Springs, houses offices for health care providers, some of which are already open.

Businesses include Dripping Springs Healthcare, Solutions Pharmacy, Gatlin Creek Dentistry, Moody Orthodontics, General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Lewis Family Medical and Urgent Care, Austin Gastroenterology, Heart of Texas Eye Institute, Central Texas Pain Center, Lone Star Podiatry, Kethley Physical Therapy, River City Docs Orthopedics and Austin Dermatology Associates & Aesthetics.

St. David’s Surgical Hospital opened Wednesday in North Austin area

st-davids-healthcareFive months after a federal bankruptcy judge allowed St. David’s Healthcare to buy a Forest Park hospital in North Austin for $115 million, the facility opened Wednesday, Oct. 19, as a new surgical center, the health provider has announced.

The renamed St. David’s Surgical Hospital is part of a long-planned expansion of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and will provide more space for St. David’s physicians to perform elective surgeries that are scheduled in advance, said Allen Harrison, CEO of the North Austin Medical Center. …Read Entire Post

Baylor Scott & White purchases Lakeway Regional Medical Center.

Baylor Scott & White Health has purchased the operations of Lakeway Regional Medical Center, a hospital west of Austin that has at times experienced financial difficulties in the four years since it was founded, for an undisclosed price.

The facility will be renamed Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lakeway and the transition will be complete by the end of the summer, according to a July 6 announcement. Philippe Bochaton, CEO of Lakeway Regional Medical Center, will remain as CEO of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lakeway. …Read Entire Post

bank vaultThe owners of Forest Park Medical Center Austin, a new hospital in Williamson County that has been vacant since it was finished in 2015, have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to reorganize debt and stay in business.

San Antonio attorney Raymond Battaglia filed the voluntary petition Jan. 5 on behalf of FPMC Austin Realty Partners, a company with a Dallas address on court records. …Read Entire Post
