Whole Foods may be Expanding HQ

Summit at Rivery adds tenants as city acts on retail plan

The Summit at Rivery Park, the 32-acre mixed-use development between Rivery Boulevard and Williams Drive, will see new locations for Orangetheory Fitness and Woops BakeShop open by the fall, according to the companies.

The boutique retail development’s owner expects to add several more tenants before the end of 2017, including a brick-oven pizza restaurant, according to Jeff Novak, managing partner with Novak Brothers, the company behind the retail development. …Read Entire Post

Holt Caterpillar retail center spurs additional development projects

By the end of 2018, the heavy-equipment supplier plans to construct a retail center at least 60,000 square feet in size at 2101 Airport Road, Georgetown, north of the intersection of Lakeway Drive and I-35.

Georgetown officials said the project is still in the planning phase, as is a planned expansion of Airport into a four-lane roadway and a new water line. City officials also said they are seeing increased activity and interest in the area near the future retail center due to its proximity to the airport and I-35, and they see the location as a prime spot for future retail and industrial development. …Read Entire Post

Industrial Space on the way at Southpark Commerce Center

Southeast Austin’s Southpark Commerce Center is set to receive more than 350,000 sf of speculative space from Ridge, Transwestern’s industrial development arm.

New supermarket in store for downtown Austin

A mixed-use project planned for Seventh and Trinity streets has carved out 27,109 square feet for a grocery store. That would make it the largest grocery store on the east side of downtown Austin.

Although specifics are sparse, we can speculate about what type of grocery store might occupy the space. One possibility is a 365 store, the new low-price format from Whole Foods Market. 3-story project planned for South Congress

The former St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop, which had been a fixture on South Congress Avenue for more than two decades, is about to take on new life as the space is renovated and a three-story building with shops and offices is built next to it.

Austin Texas DowntownEight companies or partnerships have submitted proposals to transform the downtown block where the county had hoped to build a new courthouse, one of Austin’s most high-profile infill opportunities because the site could conceivably hold the tallest building in town.
