HEB buys 17 acres close to the airport.

HEB Grocery Co. has purchased 17 acres east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the site of a possible future store in a large mixed-use development taking shape. The San Antonio-based grocery chain bought the land at FM 973 and State Highway 71 for an undisclosed price, according to the Austin American-Statesman. …Read Entire Post

The Domain’s Final Phase, Northside, Is Almost Here

Much anticipation is following as the Domain Northside is nearing completion.

The final phase of the Domain, called Domain Northside, is set to have its grand opening in September – and the project is already close to 80 percent leased.

The final Domain phase will include a boutique hotel, a Nordstrom department store, and several high-end retailers, including a new Restoration Hardware concept and Austin favorites like Eliza Page and Second Bar + Kitchen.

Many retailers joining Sky Cinemas in Dripping Springs.

The creators of Violet Crown Cinema will unveil Sky Cinemas at the 90-acre mixed-use development near U.S. Highway 290 and Nutty Brown Road.

Crescent Communities and Endeavor Real Estate Group, which are jointly building Belterra Village, also announced Monday that Breed & Co., a hardware and homeware store, will open its third Austin area location there. Thus far, about 85,000 square feet of retail has been secured. …Read Entire Post

370,000-sf Parke retail center breaks ground

Endeavor has broken ground on The Parke, a retail center sitting on 42 acres near the southwest corner of Toll Road 183A and New Hope Rd. The Parke will encompass more than 370,000 sf, 270,000 of which is already leased.

Tenants include 365 by Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, ULTA, Old Navy, DSW, Michael’s, Marshall’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Field and Stream, Red Robin, Starbuck’s, Petco, and Tuesday Morning.

Endeavor is negotiating leases with Amplify Credit Union, Chuy’s restaurant, Freebirds, Massage Heights, Mattress Firm, Orangetheory Fitness, Palm Beach Tan, and Twin Liquors. The Parke’s grand opening is slated for second quarter 2017.

H-E-B Plus! heads to Hutto

HEB PlusSan Antonio-based grocer HEB recently unveiled plans to build a new 121,000-square-foot HEB Plus! store at 5000 Gattis School Rd.

San Antonio-based grocery retailer H-E-B recently opened its fifth Round Rock store – a new 125,000-square-foot location in the University Commons Shopping Center situated at 250 University Blvd.

H-E-B expects to hire more than 300 employees to staff the new store.

Costco coming to Cedar Park

Cedar Park will be the home of a new Costco big-box store by the end of 2014. Austin City Council approved a $6 million development agreement with Costco to build a new 153,700 sf store on 16 acres to anchor the Cedar Park Town Center project located at the northwest corner of Toll 183A and FM 1431. Plans call for an additional 200,000 square feet of retail space on the remaining 33 acres of the project.  Costco is scheduled to open by the end of 2014.

Work progressing on Ikea expansion, parking garage

Work is under way to add 54,000 square feet to the already cavernous 252,000-square-foot home furnishings store, with completion expected early this summer.  A 300-car parking garage is being built to offset spaces lost to the expansion and should be ready by April, an Ikea spokesman said.
