Larger HEB planned for Marble Falls.

A bigger, better H-E-B store is on its way to Marble Falls. The San Antonio-based grocery chain said Wednesday that it will build a new, larger store adjacent to its existing one at 1503 W. FM 1431.

Once the new store opens, the current one, which spans 82,104 square feet, will close and be torn down. H-E-B has increased its land lease to 11.74 acres – up from 5.35 acres – to make the construction project possible.

The exact square footage of the new store, a list of additional features and a projected opening date won’t be available for about a year, H-E-B said, while the grocer studies its options. …Read Entire Post

Oakbrook, Illinois-based InvenTrust Properties Corp. has purchased the Shops at the Galleria, a fully occupied, 537,684-sf regional power center in the Hill Country.

Located at 12780 Shops Pkwy., about 16 miles southwest of the Austin Central Business District, the 11-year-old shopping center houses Lowe’s Home Improvement, Home Goods, Michael’s, Marshalls, Old Navy, PetSmart, World Market, Best Buy, ULTA, and Office Max.

Retail follows rooftops in Pflugerville

A growing housing market has spurred commercial development in Pflugerville.  Several new businesses are expected to open in the next year, including CVS Pharmacy, Kirkland’s, Chili’s and Hallmark. 

The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation and Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce anticipate dynamic growth.  New home permits in Pflugerville are up 21% and the city will reportedly have 650 new homes by December thanks to new communities like Falcon Pointe.
