Parmer at Tech Ridge (320,500 sf), located at 717 E. Parmer Lane, was recently purchased by Gladstone Commercial Corporation for a reported $57.5 million, according to the SEC. The Twin Towers office complex (190,570 sf), located at 1106 Clayton Lane in the Northeast sector, was recently purchased by Beverly Hills-based Omninet Capital LLC. The building, situated near the convergence of State Highway 183, U.S. Highway 290 and I-35, is the Omninet’s first Austin acquisition.

General Motors Co. (GM) announced its technology center in Austin will operate in the former Dell Inc. building located at 717 E. Parmer Ln. (320,597 sf). The facility, which is expected to employ some 500 workers, is situated at the Tech Ridge Blvd. intersection and features a full-service cafeteria, dual power feed and three volleyball courts.

Auburn Hills, Michigan-based US Farathane Corp. is readying its new 242,579 square-foot manufacturing facility at Tech Ridge Section Four located at 820 W. Howard Lane. The plastic automobile component manufacturer is expected to hire over 200 employees to man its new Northeast Austin facility.
