Arise Capital Investments LLC, an Austin-based company that develops medical office space, recently broke ground on a new three-story medical office building in Manor.  Situated at US 290 and Shadow Glen Blvd., the 36,000-square-foot building will cost a reported $3.4 million to construct.

Onair Development breaks ground on Riverplace Medical Plaza

Riverplace Medical Plaza

Austin-based developer, Onair Development, which specializes in medical offices, has broken ground on Riverplace Medical Plaza – a three-story, 35,000 square-foot building located at 6611 Riverplace Blvd. in northwest Austin.  According to state filings, the cost of construction is estimated at $2.8 million. Tenants will include imaging, urgent care, pain management, physical therapy and others. Completion is scheduled for mid-2013.

Cedar Park Regional building sold


Cedar Park MOB

Duke Realty acquired a four-story medical office building on the campus of the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.  The purchase price of the 83,383-square-foot building was not disclosed.

The acquisition brings Indianapolis-based company’s holding in the Austin area to more than 180,000 square feet of medical office space, and its total Texas portfolio to nearly 1.2 million square feet.

New 60-bed rehab hospital being built in South Austin

A North Texas company that operates a rehabilitation hospital in Round Rock is planning to open a sister hospital in South Austin, its partner announced Wednesday.

Reliant Hospital Partners of Addison and JaRyCo Development of Allen have begun construction on a 60-bed, 65,000-square-foot rehabilitation hospital at 330 W. Ben White Blvd., near St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, according to JaRyCo President Bruce Heller.

Central Health buys VA Outpatient Clinic

The VA Outpatient Clinic, a 67,230 sq ft building on 7.83 acres, located at 2901 Montopolis Blvd., in Southeast Austin, sold May 27, 2011 to Central Health, formerly known as Travis County Healthcare. The VA broke ground June 17th on its new 184,000 sq. ft. outpatient clinic, located on a 35 acre site at 7901 Metropolis Drive, also in Southeast Austin.

Brokers for the transaction to Central Health were Jerry Heare, Joyce Jane Weedman, and Josh Hubka CCIM, of REOC Austin.
