Cielo moves ahead with innovative East Austin project with City Council's approval

Cielo Property Group is expected to break ground on The Foundry, an office and residential condominium project at 310 Comal St. The 95,444-sf development will include 78,324 sf of creative office space and 17 for-sale condo units.

Additionally, Cielo is trading property at 1409 and 1411 E. Fourth St. for land Habitat owns at 1600 and 1602 E. Fourth St. The new parcel will allow about 8,800 sf of additional development than could be entitled on the other parcel.

The Foundry mixed-use project could deliver as early as fourth quarter 2017.

Jimmy John’s leases in Central Austin

Jimmy John’s, the nationwide sandwich shop chain, was represented by NAI Austin’s Retail Specialists Sherry Sanchez and Travis Waldrop in leasing 1,300 square feet in the Central Park Shopping Center. Located at 4100 North Lamar, this Jimmy John’s will be in good company with H.E.B.’s Central Market and other Austin-based tenants located in the popular shopping center.

Jimmy John’s was started in 1983 and currently has over 682 locations in 35 states, eight of which are in Austin. It offers made-to-order sandwiches, fresh soups and Jimmy John’s brand chips for both in-store dining and delivery.

Making luxury local

NAI Austin’s Retail Specialists Leo Morales and Sherry Sanchez have another tenant signed up at the Lakeway Town Center Phase II. Luxe Salon is an upscale salon that will have the feel of downtown without the drive. Located at 2121 Lohmans Crossing Road, the 1,450 square feet suite will offer hair and skin services to both men and women.

Phase II of Lakeway Town Center is still leasing space to tenants. The center is ideal for retailers and restaurants and has various sized suites to choose from. NexxLinx chooses Austin for expansion

The business communication solution company NexxLinx is expanding its services to Austin. Represented by NAI Office Specialists Lise Wineland and Josie Marshman, the President and CEO of NexxLinx Craig Mento leased 30,380 square feet of space in Suite 110 of the Northview Business Center at 9100 IH-35 South. This is its first location in Texas, and will create local jobs as well as provide a great quality of life for its current employees transferring to Austin.

NexxLinx was started in 1999 in Atlanta and allows companies to work more efficiently by using their own technology systems and software. Its partners include Kelly Services, Inc., IBM and PRC, and it serves companies such as Bank of America, Wachovia, Time Warner and Verizon.
