FedEx plans $33M expansion in Pflugerville

FedEx Ground will expand and consolidate its offices into a new $33 million, 250,000-square-foot building at 130 Commerce Center in Pflugerville.

The expansion will move the company’s existing offices from a 50,000-square-foot building on Pflugerville’s Royston Lane and make the new location the largest FedEx Ground facility in Central Texas.

The 130 Commerce Center, which sits at the corner of SH 130 and Pecan Street in Pflugerville, was selected for its easy access to SH 130, the PCDC said Wednesday in its announcement of the deal.

Scannell Properties, which develops and owns FedEx locations across the U.S., closed on the 33-acre tract of land March 4.

Scannell will oversee the construction of the facility and lease the building to FedEx. Construction is expected to begin within 60 days and be completed by the middle of 2015.

Real estate broker Charles Harvey with Don Quick and Associates Inc. represented PCDC on the deal.
